CT 500 Digestate Dryer

The Dryer

The CT 500 digestate dryer can be used to dry various types of wet biomass (20% dry matter content) to a residual moisture content of 12%. Biogenic waste is completely hygienised by high drying temperatures, odor neutralized and reduced in volume and tonnage. By using the complete exhaust gas flow of a CHP, a particularly economical and efficient drying is possible.

The Approach

Specially designed blade shafts crush the substrate to be dried and whirl it into the hot exhaust gas stream of the CHP. High temperatures of over 320°C as well as the maximum surface of the substrate to be dried created by the blade shafts enable efficient deep drying.

The System

The result of the drying process is an odorless substrate with a residual moisture of less than 12%, which is reduced by 3.5 times the volume and can be refined in many ways. In the form of pellets or granulate, it can be returned to the economic cycle as fertilizer, fuel or animal bedding.

The Result

The result of the drying process is a pumpable and odour-neutralised mass with a dry matter of approx. 30%, which is reduced in volume by up to approx. 10 times and can be used in a variety of ways and thus fed back into the economic cycle.

By using the complete exhaust gas flow of the CHP, a particularly economical and efficient drying is possible.
